In windows OS, sometimes when you try to eject your removable storage device, it shows an error massage "Problem Ejecting USB Mass Storage Device". Mainly it is because of any process which is still using that device. So for resolving this , all you need to find out the process and end it. There is a very good and small ready made software which can find all the processes using any particular file. you can download it from:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896653
Remove your drive safely, just follow these simple steps:
1. download the software from the above link,
2. Run procexp.exe as administrator,
3. press Ctrl + F , the process explorer search box will appear.
4. Enter the drive latter in the search box (eg. G: ),
5. The processes using the drive will appear.
6. Click on the process, a system process tree will appear below that , there just right-click on the process and click on 'Close Handle'.
7. one by one do the step 6. for all the processes using that drive.
8. Now eject your drive. It will be safely removed.
that's all.
